Hank Harris, DVM, PhD - Founder, President
Dr. Harris is one of the world’s leading authorities on infectious diseases of swine and related pathogens in humans.  He was one of the founders of NOBL Laboratories, a successful biotechnology company that was acquired by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica (BIV), as well as having previously served as Vice President for PIC USA, Inc (formerly Pig Improvement Company), a global leader in pig breeding and genetics. Dr. Harris is a professor in the Animal Science and the Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine Departments at Iowa State University.

 

Matthew Erdman, DVM, PhD - Founder,
Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Erdman has greater than 10 years experience researching infectious diseases of swine and humans. His postdoctoral training focused on the development of novel vaccines for PRRSV and SIV and he led the first investigations of RS and RP vaccines in pigs.  His reseach specialties are vaccinology, virology, molecular biology, and veterinary diagnostics.

 

Jerry K. McVicker, MS, PhD – Chief Operations Officer
Dr. McVicker has had 20 years experience in biological manufacturing. He served as Assistant Manager, Research and Development / Quality Control for Fort Dodge Laboratories for 7 years and has been Manager of R&D at Midland Bioproducts Corporation since 1993. His research specialties are adjuvants, protein biochemistry, and immunogenicity.

Stuart Oxer, CPA, MBA - Chief Financial Officer
Stuart Oxer worked in financial and operational management roles for the last 20 years in manufacturing and distribution businesses. He managed start-ups in the plastic, food manufacturing, and apparel industries. Mr. Oxer emphasized cash-flow management, lean manufacturing, and cost-improvement programs in his management positions, to improve the bottom line of each of the businesses in which he has been involved.

 

Margaret Prahl, JD - General Counsel
Ms. Prahl is a former partner in the law firm of Heidman, Redmond, Fredregill, Patterson, Plaza, Dykstra and Prahl in Sioux City, Iowa. Her experience as a business attorney has benefited many organizations in the agribusiness sector, including PIC, Monsanto and Newsham.  Her business litigation experience uniquely qualifies her to advise Sirrah. She has organized and assisted in the development of numerous entities in both the profit and non-profit sectors.
